The band’s influences spawn from a wide range of artists ranging from the revolutionary scratch artistry of Q-Bert, the diverse output and independence of jazz saxophonist John Zorn, the sample-based sonic mayhem of DJ Shadow and The Avalanches, the fat grooves of Flying Lotus, Mobb Deep and J Dilla, to the musical anarchy of the Beastie Boys.
