Rapatwa Rtis was born in Kingston, Jamaica and spent his childhood in UK and then US.

His passion for music was fuelled at a young age by his older brother playing reggae, hip hop, rare groove, soul and lovers rock artists as well as Jamaican sound systems like coxone, saxon and volcano in local northwest London areas. This mix of culture inspired Rtis to create his own sound Titan High Power and became a dancehall DJ at the age of 12.

R-Tis developed his Rapatwa style after moving to America and listening to hip hop. Rapatwa is similar to Raggaeton but for Caribbean rapping in patois languages..
